THE PAGHALION ESTATE: A STATEMENT

The Paghalion Estate issues this statement to address recent media coverage concerning Paghalion and to inform our Customers and Partners on the origins of the sustained campaign of harassment against our founder and our brand.

In 2024, the founder and author of Paghalion exposed safeguarding failures in over 100 UK churches—failures that revealed a direct and documented link to child abuse and explained why such abuse has been so widespread within Christian institutions. Her investigation further uncovered a systematic failure by Police and Judges to protect victims, choosing instead to shield the Church from accountability.

The founder of Paghalion did not set out to become a whistle-blower.

She set out to listen—to the voices that had been stifled.

What she uncovered was not merely a pattern of failure, but a system of failure. Her work revealed why abuse flourished—not because no one knew, but because too many chose to look away. Police, Judges, Religious leaders and those entrusted with protection.

That exposé empowered over 4,000 individuals to come forward and speak about church abuse they had experienced—many for the very first time.

The Backlash:

Hailed as a heroine and advocate for survivors of church abuse, the founder immediately became the target of a ferocious and unrelenting backlash from the Church, elements within the Police, and sectors of the UK judiciary.

The founder and the business have been subjected to a coordinated campaign of vitriol and abuse orchestrated by religious groups and prominent Christian figures in society. This campaign has extended beyond the founder to target staff, building landlords, suppliers, partners, and potential clients—harassing and bullying them into severing ties with Paghalion.

It made the founder understand that this is the reality that the survivors face when they speak: not support, but siege.

Not justice, but retaliation.

We have watched this pattern repeat throughout history—most painfully in the life of Sinéad O'Connor, who told the truth and was punished for it by a world not yet ready to hear. We refuse to be complicit in that same failure again.

No one should be destroyed for speaking about abuse.

No survivor should be left to fight alone.

The persecution of survivors who come forward to report church abuse—particularly of a sexual nature—is a very real attitude that society must confront and eradicate.

We further assert that those who attack, defame, and vilify any individual for reporting a sexual crime committed by someone within the Church must not be supported, amplified, or permitted to continue their campaign of harm unchecked.

Transparency for Partners and the Public

In the interest of full transparency, we believe it is now necessary to equip potential partners, suppliers, and clients with the information required to make fully informed decisions about Paghalion—and to understand the true source of the hate and defamation directed at our brand.

These Christian individuals, groups and their supporters have chosen to devote their time, resources, and influence to abuse and inflict harm.

We choose to use our position and wealth differently.

The Fly Diana Fund: A New Hope & New A New Beginning

Today, The Paghalion Estate announces the launch of The Fly Diana Fund—a Wealth Starter Pack designed to strip hate of its power and to build an impenetrable shield against persecution.

Paghalion's inaugural philanthropy agenda will provide survivors of religious sexual abuse with:

Legal protection - for those wishing to bring a claim against the offender(s)

Safeguarding support - to ensure no one is re-traumatised

Financial immunity - so that survival is not contingent on silence

This fund represents our unwavering commitment to ensuring that no survivor is left vulnerable, undefended, or alone.

A Final Word

To every survivor reading this: we stand with you in support.

To the world: we cannot change what has been done. But we can change what happens next.

Beside you in power

PAGHALION
